I've been making the same mistake for a decade 😒

Dear Reader,

So this week was full of BrainGram - that experiment where I document every business decision I make to see how my ADHD brain actually works.

Day 1 was difficult. Day 2 got better.

Then Day 3 hit. And I saw it.

The pattern I've been repeating for 10 years without knowing it.

Here's what happened:

This week was the 10th anniversary of My Little Moppet. Ten years. $2M+ in revenue. Franchise locations. Our own physical store in Bengaluru.

Last year, I had big celebration plans. Grand party for customers. Special treats for employees and their families.

This year? I couldn't get myself motivated to plan anything.

When I documented why in BrainGram, the pattern became crystal clear.

I've been stuck handling Facebook Ads for Andromeda, and sales have been fluctuating. It's been making me think I'm failing.

So in my brain: How can I celebrate when I'm currently failing at something?

The pattern I've been repeating for a decade:

When I wrote it out in BrainGram - just documenting my actual thoughts without judgment - I saw it so clearly:

When something's not working RIGHT NOW, I can't celebrate anything from the past.

When I'm struggling with one thing TODAY, I forget every win I've already built.

This anniversary wasn't about me or my current Meta ads struggle. It was about the employees who've been there for 10 years. The customers who trusted us. The vendors who delivered consistently.

But I got stuck in today's metrics instead of 10 years of results.

And I've been doing this for 10 years. Every time I hit a rough patch, I stop celebrating. I stop acknowledging. I make it all about what's not working.

BrainGram caught me doing it in real-time.

I didn't realize the pattern until I saw my own words written out. Until I documented the actual thoughts as they happened.

Just real-time documentation of what my ADHD brain does when I'm not paying attention.

That's when I realized: other people need to see this.

Not my polished thoughts after I've processed everything. The actual messy, real-time decisions and thought patterns.

And I'm opening it up. Totally free. For now, maybe forever, I honestly don't know yet.

Because here's what I'm realizing:

We can't see our own patterns when they're just swirling in our heads.

But when they're documented? When you can literally watch your brain following the same script over and over?

That's when everything changes.

If you want to follow along - see what real-time ADHD business documentation actually looks like, watch me catch my own patterns as they happen.
